Import Duties & Taxes
Taxes shouldn’t be a surprise. Here is exactly how we calculate and charge the duties on your shipment.
Shown before, paid before
Your destination’s import tax is calculated in the quote and added to the total before you confirm. Shipments go DDP (duties prepaid) — no surprise bill at delivery.
Brazil: Remessa Conforme
Shipments to Brazil follow the official international parcel regime (the Federal Revenue’s Remessa Conforme program).
Purchases up to US$ 50: import duty exemption for shipments via certified companies, with the state ICMS applying. Purchases between US$ 50.01 and US$ 3,000: 60% import duty with a fixed US$ 30 deduction, plus state ICMS.
These values follow current legislation and are updated when the rules change — your shipment’s exact amount always appears in the quote.
Other countries
Each destination has its own import rules. The amount applicable to your country appears in the shipping quote, before payment, under the same principle: everything shown upfront, nothing charged later.
Declared value
The declared value of the items is the basis for duty calculation and is the customer’s responsibility. Under-declaring can lead to holds, fines and delays at destination customs.
